Sherlyn Chopra reveals never pleading for work
When asked if she had to ever plead for work, Sherlyn Chopra said, “No, no, I would never. No way. I am not willing to go around with a bowl in my hand, asking, ‘Allah ke naam pe dedo’. I do not have the approval for that. And, I present myself as educated, intelligent, classy, and very articulate. If you like these qualities, then you and I can connect. But if you prefer idiocy, chaos, or lack of class, or if you don’t appreciate beauty, then please do not waste my time. Kindly take your leave at the earliest opportunity.”
Sherlyn Chopra on suicidal thoughts
Speaking about if she ever came across suicidal thoughts, Sherlyn Chopra said, “Especially after I lost my dad in 2005, I was very depressed because he was my pillar of strength. I’ve always been a daddy’s girl. After he passed away, it felt like, who should I talk to now? From whom should I seek advice? With whom should I discuss my thoughts? My mom has been there for me, but the kind of bond I had with my dad wasn’t the same with my mom. So yes, I would sometimes wonder, okay, if dad isn’t here, maybe he’s somewhere else, and I would think about going there to meet him. Such thoughts used to come to me.”
She continued, “Later, I slowly understood that energy cannot be destroyed. So, Dad is very much here; he’s actually watching this interview. Energy can never be destroyed; it just takes different forms. So yes, when I got to know this truth, I was relaxed, I was comforted. I felt quite comfortable knowing that, yes, Dad’s energy was around me, and he was watching over me. Then I tried not to entertain those depressing thoughts.”
